An effective and safe training plan considers your unique strengths, limitations, goals, and resources. While there are generally accepted guidelines regarding training factors (mileage, intensity, duration, periodization, rest periods, etc.) how each individual athlete approaches these elements is critical to success and longevity. Three athletes may set the same goal, but they will each require a unique training program to achieve that goal. What works for one, will not work for all.
How do individualized coaching programs differ from customized training plans?
Individualized Coaching Programs provide the athlete with a comprehensive and personalized program of training. Unlimited interaction and communication between coach and athlete, allows for adjustments to training and critical feedback regarding progression. Workouts can be fine-tuned to address challenges that arise during training and continue to build on the athlete's strengths while targeting their weaknesses. This is the most effective approach to training for athletes who compete in multiple races over the course of a season.
Customized Training Plans offer the athlete a 12-week, 16-week, 20-week, or 24-week schedule of workouts. These plans are ideal for athletes that are training for a specific race. It is an efficient and affordable way to benefit from coaching. All customized training plans are delivered in their entirety. Adjustments, if requested, can be made to plans at a later time for additional fees.
MindMuscle Individualized Coaching Programs include the following:
- Initial Athlete Consultation and Intake
- Race Calendar Planning (targeting A races and identifying training cycles)
- Skills Assessment
- Individualized training plan delivered online that includes detailed daily workouts
- TrainingPeaks account and full program access
- Weekly progress feedback session with the Coach (by phone or email)
- Unlimited athlete initiated emails
- Basic mental skills training
- Reduced fees on all MindMuscle workshops, clinics, and one-on-one sessions
- Post-season analysis and off-season planning session
MindMuscle Customized Training Plans include the following:
- Initial Athlete Consultation and Intake
- Skills Assessment
- Customized training plan for targeted race that is delivered online and includes daily workouts for the entire race preparation period
- TrainingPeaks account
- Race Day mental preparation tips
- Reduced fees on all MindMuscle workshops, clinics, and one-on-one sessions
- Adjustments to training plan are available at additional cost
